Beauty pageants are very popular, and not just with young girls. Teens and young adults also enjoy participating in beauty pageants, and it can be difficult to find the perfect hairstyle to wear during a pageant. If you’re going to be in a pageant that requires a lot of wardrobe changes, then you’ll want to go with hairstyles that are low maintenance, such as pony tails, braids, or even just simple, upsweeps. These looks can be made extremely attractive and pretty, without making you seem too plain.
The best styles are those that leave room for a tiara or crown, and that are as natural as possible. Cascading curls are great for anyone with thin hair. This medium length style will let you do many accessories, and will let you make a ponytail if you need to for something casual. A ponytail with just the top portion pulled back is great if you want a look that is pretty, casual, and just a little more maintenance. Curl the hair that is loose, and have side wisps or a bang for a beautiful look.
Updos are great if you won’t have to change hairstyles. Don’t have bun at the nape of the neck, because if you then wear a tiara it will tilt forward. Instead, choose a style that has your hair curled, pinned, or folded right on the crown of your head. This is a great style to suit a tiara, and the hair will stay out of your way and beautiful. Make sure that you prepare for frizz in case you need to change clothes with at least a brush to tame your hair if need be.
